STAMFORD, Conn., March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) today announced that Gary Schanman will join the Company as Senior Vice President, Video Products. He will oversee the development and management of Charter's rapidly evolving video product team which is responsible for making Charter's video products the nation's best. This includes the development of an innovative cloud-based UI, evolving the Charter TV Apps, driving Charter's All-Digital initiative, and launching the most HD available. Mr. Schanman will report to Senior Vice President, Product and Strategy, Rich DiGeronimo.

Most recently, Mr. Schanman was Senior Vice President, Strategy, Revenue Management and Operations for Cablevision Media Sales. Throughout his impressive tenure at Cablevision, Mr. Schanman has held multiple high-ranking positions including: SVP of Broadband Product Management, SVP of Strategic Product Development and Design, as well as SVP of Video Product Management. Mr. Schanman also served as Comcast's Vice President of Advertising and Interactive Commerce Product Development.
Prior to his cable industry experience, Mr. Schanman worked in product management and business development for iWon.com (currently part of IAC), served as a strategy consultant in the entertainment and media strategy practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, and began his career in advertising as an account manager for Young & Rubicam and Ogilvy & Mather.
Mr. Schanman holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in both Finance and Advertising from Syracuse University.
