ST. LOUIS and ATLANTA - Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHTR) and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) have signed a distribution deal to provide numerous Charter broadband customers with the drama of TrackPass Basic and PitCommand, it was jointly announced today by Dennis Quinn, Executive Vice President, Business Development, TBS, Inc., and Barbara Hedges, Charter Vice President for Broadband Marketing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"TrackPass Basic and PitCommand should prove to be very popular with our High-SpeedTM Internet customers who follow NASCAR," said Hedges. "We continue to look for opportunities to enrich our High-Speed Internet content and given our NASCAR Bush Series sponsorship, TrackPass Basic and PitCommand are naturals."

"We're pleased to partner with Charter Communications and to extend NASCAR.COM's rich brand to their broadband customer base by making TrackPass Basic and PitCommand available," said Quinn. TrackPass Basic provides broadband customers with live coverage of all NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series practice, qualifying and race events, as well as all NASCAR Busch Series qualifying and race events. TrackPass Basic features exclusive multimedia content, including in-car audio of nine top NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series drivers, condensed video versions of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races, originally produced multimedia content, event highlights, and live race audio coverage.

PitCommand, a premium TrackPass feature, is a GPS telemetry application that tracks the position of all 43 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series cars in real-time. The PitCommand application allows TrackPass members to see each car's live RPM, speed, braking and throttle data. Each race day, TrackPass customers can customize their PitCommand experience with driver-specific dashboards, full-field leaderboards, a Top-10 mode, or an interactive Viewer's Choice mode.

New this season, TrackPass customers can follow Nextel Cup Qualifying and watch each qualifying driver race virtually against the pole sitter. PitCommand Quals is the newest feature of Nextel TrackPass, expanding Nextel TrackPass' Emmy®-award winning PitCommand race coverage to NASCAR Nextel Cup Series qualifying. This addition doubles the number of PitCommand-covered events each season.
