Charter Promotes Eloise Schmitz to Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer
St. Louis - The promotion of Eloise Schmitz to Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHTR) was announced today by Robert May, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
In making the announcement, Mr. May said, "Since she started with the Company, Eloise has played an integral role in Charter's financing activities culminating in last year's successful refinancing in of approximately $9.5 billion in debt. This advancement is in recognition of her extensive contributions to the Company."
Ms. Schmitz joined Charter in 1998 as Vice President, Finance and Acquisitions. Within Charter, her responsibilities have included sourcing, analyzing and negotiating balance sheet transactions, as well as managing Charter's relationships with its lenders, other debt holders and rating agencies. Additionally, she has held responsibility for the Company's acquisition and divestiture activity in the past.
With more than 17 years' experience in finance, prior to joining Charter, Ms. Schmitz was Vice President, Group Manager of the Franchise and Communications Group for Mercantile Bank, now US Bank, in St. Louis. There, she was responsible for initiating, structuring and arranging leverage-acquisition debt facilities for companies in the telecommunications and media industries. Before that, she served as a corporate banker at First Union for five years.
Ms. Schmitz holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Tulane University.
