Charter Names David Feldman Vice President of Technology
ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 2003--The appointment of David Feldman to Vice President of Technology for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) was announced today by Wayne Davis, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations. In this capacity, Mr. Feldman will have overall responsibility for corporate network engineering, advanced technology platform evaluation and deployment, and platform strategies for technology-based advanced services.
In making the announcement, Mr. Davis said, "Dave has almost 25 years of experience in architecture, design and delivery of broadband voice, data, telemetry and video services and associated technology platforms. A pioneering cable modem design engineer in the early 1980s, he has broad experience in delivery of advanced terrestrial and satellite-based communications services which will bring Charter critical depth in hardware, software, communications and RF technologies."
Mr. Feldman was formerly Vice President of Technology at Jones Intercable, and has more recently served in technology-focused roles in the fixed wireless industry. Previously, Mr. Feldman had served in staff engineering roles with TRW Defense and Space Systems Group, American Television and Communications, and as architect and designer of a national two-way satellite data communications service network for Nova-Net Communications, Inc.
Mr. Feldman earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, focusing on communications architecture, information theory and electronics.
