Charter Announces Corporate Promotions and Appointments

McMeley, Manley, Murphy promoted; Carlson, Bellaria, Field join Charter

St. Louis - Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) today announced the promotions of Christin S. McMeley to Vice President and Senior Counsel, Privacy and Security; Cheryl M. Manley to Vice President and Senior Counsel, Human Resources; and Daniel J. Murphy to Vice President of Field Technical Services; and the appointments of Jay E. Carlson as Senior Vice President of Information Technology; Philip J. Bellaria as Vice President, Executive Support to the President and CEO; and Stephen H. Field to Vice President, Information Technology - OSS.

Previously Chief Privacy Attorney and Senior Regulatory Counsel, as Vice President and Senior Counsel, Privacy and Security, Christin McMeley is responsible for Charter's compliance with all federal regulatory, security and privacy legal requirements, and insuring the security and privacy of Charter's customer and employee information, reporting to Larry Christopher, Vice President and Senior Counsel, Litigation. A 10 year veteran of the cable television industry, she joined Charter in July, 2005 from the law firm of Cole, Raywid & Braverman in Washington, D.C. where she was an associate from 1998 to 2005. Previous to this she worked for Gemstar - TV Guide International.

As Vice President and Senior Counsel, Human Resources, Cheryl Manley is principal legal counsel to Charter's Human Resources Department, where she is responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with all employment and labor laws, reporting to Grier Raclin, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Charter, Ms. Manley served as labor and employment counsel for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. She was also employed as an associate in the labor and employment law department of Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP. Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Manley served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Carol E. Jackson in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Previously Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations for the Great Lakes Division, as Vice President of Field Technical Services, Dan Murphy is responsible for driving improvement of technical operations performance, reporting to Wayne Davis, Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. Mr. Murphy is a 22 year veteran of the broadband industry, starting his career as an installer for Paragon Cable. He joined Charter's Great Lakes Division in 2003 and has as held various engineering positions with Comcast, AT&T Broadband and TCI.

As Senior Vice President of Information Technology, Jay Carlson is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction for planning, designing, implementing and maintaining Charter's information technology infrastructure, reporting to Mr. Davis. Mr. Carlson joins Charter from the State of Illinois, Bureau of Communications and Computer Services, where he served since 2003, most recently as Deputy Director of Central Management Services' Bureau of Communication and Computer Services. Mr. Carlson is returning to the cable industry where he began his information technology and engineering career more than 20 years ago with Centel Communications.

As Vice President, Executive Support to the President and CEO, Phil Bellaria will provide support to Charter President and CEO Neil Smit, dividing his time equally in developing, launching and supporting initiatives identified in conjunction with the executive team, and building, launching, and managing a comprehensive customer retention program. Mr. Bellaria joins Charter from McKinsey & Company, where he served as Engagement Manager for media and telecommunications clients since 2001.

As Vice President, Information Technology - OSS, Steve Field is responsible for leading and managing the design, development, integration, testing and development of Charter's operations support systems, reporting to Mr. Carlson. With over 25 years experience in the information technology field, Mr. Field joins Charter from Tier 1 Innovation, Ltd. where, as Vice President, he led enterprise integration and CRM implementation consulting services since 2003. Previously, Mr. Field was Sr. Vice President of a telecommunications industry consulting firm, and an Associate Partner with Accenture.
