Executive Vice President, President of Spectrum Business Enterprise
Philip G. Meeks is Executive Vice President and President of Spectrum Business Enterprise at Charter Communications. In his role, Mr. Meeks oversees all commercial operations, marketing and strategy and sales for Spectrum Business Enterprise, which provides enterprise-grade Internet, networking, voice, commercial video and managed services to Charter’s largest customers.
He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Business Services at Time Warner Cable, where he led the rapidly growing business services unit, serving over 650,000 business customers and accounting for over $3 billion in annualized revenue.
Prior to that, Mr. Meeks served as Senior Vice President of Cox Business, where he led 3,500 employees in making it the fastest growing business unit in the enterprise. Before joining Cox in 2008, he was the co-founder and lead executive for a start-up company focused on enhancing the supply chain between technology vendors and value added resellers in the Internet security, data storage and VoIP markets.
Mr. Meeks served in various strategy, sales and marketing leadership roles during 20 years of service at MCI Telecommunications, including Senior Vice President of Sales Operations and Senior Vice President of Strategic Ventures and Alliances. He started his career at AT&T Information Systems/Southern Bell in 1979 and progressed through various sales and marketing leadership roles.
Mr. Meeks is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Journalism. He also completed executive education programs at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Virginia.
